I’m gonna nitpick here, bear with me. The chart shows npr on the edge of “skews liberal,” but I’m not really trying to prove that it leans left. What I’m interested in is how, as main news sources, npr appeals to Democrats and fox appeals to Republicans (according to pew). In my social circle, I learned to distrust fox decades ago, but I’m curious why it’s so popular with older Republicans. Is it because they like the format, despite its extreme bias? Or do they actually enjoy the rhetoric because it lines up with other conservative values? I’d like to think npr is centrist, but it’s possible I’m blind to the liberal bias — because I agree with liberal values.
